Alfa Romeo 6C Zagato. The designation 6C refers to the six-in-line engine. It was built from 1927 to 1954, in numerous versions with different chassis, both for the road and for racing. There was a Turismo, Sport, Granturismo, Super Sport and Gran Sport. Alfa Romeo built its own bodywork, but coachbuilders such as Castagna, Touring, Pinin Farina and also Zagato were brought in. The last one are the most valuable - especially in this Gran Sport version. You can recognise them by the abundant chrome lines. Those are the most beautiful and the best.

The car features aluminum bodywork finished in dark blue with burgundy fenders and is powered by an Alfa Romeo 2.6-liter DOHC inline-six that breathes through twin carburetors. Additional features include a ladder frame with leaf-sprung solid axles at each end, a five-speed manual transmission, power-assisted hydraulic finned drum brakes, 18” wire wheels, and red leather upholstery over seating for two. Service in May 2022 included the replacement of the fuel pump and battery as well as a carburetor adjustment and repair of a radiator leak.

The car drives incredibly well. The car is very powerful and has a phenomenal sound. When you run a Ferrari from the 80s, you hear that it is family. This beautiful Alfa Romeo is built by Automobil Pettenella. Pettenella was an Italian manufacturer of automobiles. The company was established in 1973 in Turin. The only model that they built was a replica of the 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gran Sport. The ladder frame and wheel suspension were roughly the same as the original. Even the disc brakes were hidden under dummies that looked like contemporary drum brakes.
