This Chevrolet is fantastic fun and is super quick. The V8 has masses of power, huge amounts of torque and the five speed gearbox feels very long-legged. This is a very light car with an impressive power to weight ratio and, with no refinements, is bare-bones lightweight with no sound deadening. This car can fulfil so many purposes, it will provide so much exhilarating driving on UK and European roads and will be a ferocious on the track and hill climbs. This is the sort of car you can really have some fun in, but equally impressive is the beautiful shape and appearance of the car, there is no doubt this car is going to grab attention.

This is an incredibly light, quick, superbly built in 1957, registered Chevrolet V8 that can be enjoyed for road use, hill climbs, sprints and European timed tours. This outstanding piece of engineering has been built by a master craftsman over many years and is something very special. Equipped with MSA logbook and classified as Formula Libra, this fantastic creation is a true credit to its previous owner, a meticulous engineer who has spent a huge amount of time building this awesome car. The Chevrolet has not done much shake down mileage since completion but was registered and given its MSA passport in June 2019, and we can report from its initial test drive on arrival that it is truly outstanding on the road.

The Chevrolet has been built with a space frame chassis and all internal panels are aluminum including the inner wings. The body is part aluminum, part GRP and during build was converted to RHD. The engine is a Chevrolet 350 block 5.7L with roller rockers, Edlebrock performer manifold, 650cfm Edelbrock carburetor and has tubular heads, aluminum radiator and stainless steel exhaust. The gearbox is the fabulous five speed Tremec T5 and the rear axle is Dana/Salisbury with limited slip differential with five point location twin trailing arms.
The impressive specification continues with all round disc brakes, all late 1950s Jaguar and uprated to Ash water Zeus stainless pistons etc. The suspension is coils and shocks all round and are fully adjustable, and the Chevrolet boasts rack and pinion steering and Fuel safe Racing, foam filled FIA approved fuel cell. A comprehensive file of invoices comes with the car, as well as carefully written instructions and notes for its next owner.
