Maserati has closed his race department in 1957. A new rule has appeared for the race industry. Only engines of 4.0-liter were approved. This new rule led to the production of the Maserati Tipo 151. A car which had one purpose: winning Le Mans. Maserati Tipo 151 is a racing car manufactured by Maserati in 1962 to compete in LeMans. Only 3 cars were produced.

Initially the engine is 4200 cc, but it has been prepared to 4700 cc, to improve power producing 360 hp. This car is in possession of race papers such as SVRA logbook and FIA papers. SVRA is one of the oldest organizations in vintage racing in US.

This Maserati Tipo 151 is a reconstruction manufactured by ATL. ATL is an Italian coachbuilder and is well known for their quality. This car is 100% accurate reconstruction to the original car. Body has been made in full aluminum. This car participated at some races in US.
