The Porsche 914 was a joint development between Porsche and Volkswagen and was the new Porsche entry-level model from model year 1970. The two-seater, also known as the “VW Porsche”, was a mid-engined sports car. Notable design features included an enormously long wheelbase in relation to the car’s length, a removable center roof panel made from glass-fibre and a wide rollbar. The 914 also had folding headlights.
