This Grand Prix car is built with a large number of Original Renault Parts from the same era. The Renault 4 cylinder engine is very similar and the same size as those used by the AK 90. The gearbox is characteristic of the brand because all the gears are in one line. The rest of the mechanical parts are also from Renault as well as the chassis that was modified to have the exact measurements to those of the Grand Prix Renault. The bodywork was done following the measurements of the blueprints provided by Renault Classic from the factory archives. The radiator, a central and very important piece, is perhaps the most characteristic that the AK 90 had. Its size was far superior to any production car of the brand. For this radiator, more than 1800 0.3mm thick copper tubes were used. This AK 90 is the fruit of more than 3000 hours of work and arduous research in order to recreate the machine and "bring to life" one of those F1 pioneer sand winner of the world's first Grand Prix.

After its presentation at Autoclasica 2012 in Argentina and having obtained the 1st prize in its category, this AK 90, was examined and recognized by the representatives of Renault Classic who traveled from Paris to Buenos Aires to evaluate the car.

In 2016 Renault showed the car around Europe in various top-level events advertising the return of the brand to F1.
